Susan Schmitz is a subject matter expert and peer reviewer for Elsevier’s CDI content. Susan is a highly-skilled professional with a solid, extensive clinical background holding a variety of clinical management positions as well as CDI roles. She has done CDI consulting for Navigant, Accretive Health, and most recently with JA Thomas. She has been involved with reassessing, implementing and managing CDI Programs at numerous prestigious hospitals and health systems across the US including Long Island Jewish, Cedar Sinai Medical Center, Poudre Valley Health System, (currently University of Colorado Health System), UCLA, Hoag Memorial Health System in Newport Beach, CA, and most currently at Kaiser Health System in Pasadena, California.
